We are thrilled to announce that Brent Gough will be the new Youth Development Director for the CDP Chandler program.

Brent was born and raised in St. Albert, Alberta, Canada. He played three years of Junior A hockey with the St. Albert Saints before earning an NCAA Division I scholarship to Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts, a member of the prestigious Hockey East Conference.

During his collegiate career, Brent served as captain of the Merrimack Warriors for two seasons and was recently named to Merrimack’s All-Decade Team. After completing four successful years with the Warriors, he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, concentrating in Organizational Behavior, and went on to play professionally in the United Kingdom.

Following his professional career, Brent retired in 2010 and began coaching with the Junior A West Kelowna Warriors of the BCHL in West Kelowna, British Columbia. Over five seasons, he served as Associate Head Coach and Assistant General Manager, helping develop players for the next level.

Brent and his family later relocated to Arizona, where he joined the Arizona Bobcats program. During his time with the Bobcats, he coached U18, U16, and U14 AAA teams, leading his 18U team to a USA Hockey Tier II National Championship in the 2021–22 season.

Prior to taking on his current role with CDP, Brent served as a Director with Black Bear Sports Group, overseeing operations for both the Tier 1 Hockey Federation (THF) and Defender Hockey Tournaments.
